This floor cleaner is awesome! August 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Love to vacuum See all my reviews >

I have literally tried everything for my hardwood floors. (swifter products, hoover floormate, bona products, scrubbing on my hands and knees....) I never felt like my floors were clean when I was done. The Floormate did ok but it was too much of a pain to use and store. It also was a long process almost like stream cleaning carpets!

I tired the Bissell Stream mop and it works great! It is easy to use. Easy to store! It makes my hardwood floors feel so clean. I have two dogs and two kids so they are always looking and feeling dirty. Even after I clean them. The other cleaners made it seem as if I was just wiping around the dirt. After using the stream mop they look clean and feel clean! It is actually fun to clean my floors now!

Love this for Tile! October 17, 2007 Reviewer:  natural health "JG" (Massachusetts)  See all my reviews >

I love this on my tile. It does a great job for those times when you need a good cleaning, but don't have a lot of time.
I have a bigger, bulkier floor cleaner which is good also, but this is a handy little tool and easier to use than the larger one.
I wouldn't use on hard wood, but on tile (or I am guessing linoleum) it is super...and the floor dries quick too!!
:)

I've had this for 1 year November 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Ducky Momma (Roswell Ga)  See all my reviews >

I love this mop!!!!!
I would love for water to dry instantly, but that isn't realistic. It dries in a few minutes, and the floor is not very wet.

It helps you to get just about anything up off your floors.
YES it is important to vaccuum or sweep very well before steaming.

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a huge kitchen and i do need to have it plugged into to one outlet, then plug it into another, but that isn't a big deal. Works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS A DECENT STEAM MOP BUT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT! May 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Smart Shopper See all my reviews >

I wanted this mop for so long and finally got the newest Bissell steam mop the blue model with the longer cord and this product still needs improvement. First it leaves your floors very wet. The reason it does this is if you turn the mop upside down and look at the steam plate there are no steam holes, There is only a tiny slit located near the back of the mop and it is only about 1/4 inch wide. Because there is only a tiny slit on the steam plate the floor is not really getting steamed its the cleaning pad that is getting all the steam, resulting in the pad getting wet quickly and leaving the excess water on the floor. If there were steam holes all over the bottom of the floor plate this would be the perfect mop. Many people rave about this mop but I also own the original Eureka Enviro Steam Mop and it out performs the bissell hands down.

Great concept - needs to be refined August 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Busy Mom "Lisa H" (Appleton, WI, USA)  See all my reviews >

I have been looking for a solution to hand scubbing my floors and I thought this product would be it. It is in that it cleaned my floor perfectly and was really easy to use. It does leave a small amount of residual water on the floor but this dries fairly quickly. However, I have stone tile floors in my kitchen and after the first clean, the mop pad (after washing in the washing machine) has two holes in it .... replacement pads cost 19.99 for a pack of 2 if the first use puts holes in the pad then this becomes an expensive exercise.

My advise to any one with stone or sandstone floors is to consider this product only if you can afford new pads with every other floor clean.

Bissell Steam Mop March 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Karen Belknap Real Name (california)  See all my reviews >

I can't say how much I love this mop. I got it for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and have used it often. Mopping floors was always a "chore" but now I actually look forward to using the mop. I have ceramic tile in the kitchen and dining area and vinyl in the bathrooms. My floors are cleaner now as I wash them more often. The pads are not showing as much dirt as they did in the first use. I think that I mopped my kitchen 4 times until it was really clean. Before the floors looked clean but I guess they weren't. I love the fact that the mop can get around the toilets. This is a sturdy machine and easy to use. I had owned the shark before but there is no comparison. I would highly recommend this to everyone as it not only cleans but is fun to use.

BEST PRODUCT I'VE BOUGHT SINCE MY DYSON!! December 28, 2007 Reviewer:  Erin in Charlotte See all my reviews >

I have very light ceramic tile in my kitchen and a VERY large dog who constantly tracks dirt into my house. I thought my floors were a lost cause until I bought this mop. It cleans my floors beautifully and quickly. I absolutely love this mop, so much easier than a regular mop and bucket, and the Swiffer-type products don't even compare. One thing with this product is you really do have to sweep or vaccuum thoroughly before you run the mop over your floors. All in all, GREAT product!

Cleans laminate floors perfectly! November 2, 2008 Reviewer:  J. M. Bartolotti Real Name (Placentia, California)  See all my reviews >

I have had this gem for about 6 months now and have loved every minute of it! Not only does it steam the floors clean, it does so witn no harsh, smelly, dangerous chemicals. Great for kids in the home! One thing you have to make sure to do is to either sweep or vaccuum your floors real good before mopping to make sure there is no dust that could potentially leave streaks. I just bought the Dyson vaccuum, vaccuumed and then mopped with my Bissell and the floors were perfect! Honestly, I don't even wash my mop heads - I just rinse them out and hang them outside to dry. Again, I would highly recommend this for laminate floors!

It isn't worth the space it takes to store it February 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Robert Klein Real Name (Oceanside,CA,USA)  See all my reviews >

Too much work and maintenance. Very slow cleaning. It does steam away bad spots but you could get the same effect with your steam iron and a paper towel in a lot less time and work. Leaves a lot of water and does not dry as quick as suggested. Maneuverability is horrible, like a workout at the gym. The cleaning head spins around on its own with no control as you use it fighting the path you chose to take, and the little diaper that fits over it is ridiculous. Basically you had better have a fairly clean floor before you use this piece of c---. Constantly tripping over the cord that's not retractable. Item will not stand by itself and continually falls over. Not well balanced. You have to clean the head with a paper clip and buy distilled water for use. Unlike a mop that will pick up a few crumbs left behind after sweeping this thing won't. Not even a single strand of hair I missed while sweeping. You have to empty and dry for storage between uses. I'm Back to my mop and bucket. Easier to use and less hassle. And less work! Upside is if you don't mind the struggle and the time it doesn't use chemicals or cleaning fluids. The price was OK for what it is but I'll probably give it away. For me it isn't worth the space it takes to store it!

It was love at first mop January 9, 2009 Reviewer:  Momma (Texas)  See all my reviews >

I hate mopping, always have always will. I can't stand a big bucket of dirty water and just the whole wet process. Then I read about the Bissell Steam Mop, I decided to give it a try and if it didn't work I figured I could sell it. Well, now I love to STEAM mop! My floors have NEVER been so clean before! My toddler decided to play Picaso in the bathroom a couple of weeks ago and this thing got the BLUE sharpie up! When our painter painted our house he got a few drops on the tile and guess what, no longer there! It's really easy to use and it takes no time! I got my kitchen, dining area, front entrance way, and two bathrooms done in less than 20 minutes. My husband even asked if I used a new chemical to clean the floors because they've never looked so shiny. I recommend this thing to ANYONE, especially anyone with kids or pets, who wants them to be around chemicals? So buy this! You'll LOVE it!
